ABOUT :
Dr. Javier Rodríguez Cardona
Committed to Mental Health and Well-being
His journey in mental health care started back in 2010, diving into hands-on clinical and administrative roles on acute inpatient services—where he honed skills in crisis intervention, group therapy, training, supervision, and consultation to support those in their most vulnerable moments. By 2015, he advanced his expertise through an APA-accredited internship at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System, immersing himself in general mental health, long-term psychodynamic care, substance use, physical rehabilitation, chronic pain, and chronic illness. The following year, he completed an APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship in Primary Care Mental Health Integration, focusing on seamlessly embedding evidence-based mental health services into primary care to boost accessibility and real-world outcomes for patients. From there, his commitment has only grown, expanding into diverse areas like supervising interns and postdoctoral fellows in APA-accredited programs, all while providing tailored, compassionate care to first responders, healthcare providers, veterans, high-achievers in demanding professions, and everyday community members facing life's toughest challenges. If these experiences resonate with your own path toward healing, exploring personalized telehealth support could be a meaningful next step
